Didier Drogba won’t be challenging Formula One star Lewis Hamilton for the Drivers’ World Championship any time soon judging by his driving around the Chelsea training ground.

The Ivorian striker, who sealed a return to his beloved Blues this summer, got into a bit of bother at the west London club’s Cobham facility last week.

The 36-year-old appeared to jam the steering wheel of a small buggy carrying Eden Hazard, Branislav Ivanovic and John Obi Mikel last week.

The incident was good for morale, though, as onlooking Chelsea centre-half Gary Cahill and Nemanja Matic found Drogba’s driving particularly amusing.

Chelsea wrote on their Vine account: “Didier Drogba having a bit of car trouble… #CFC #Chelsea”

Drogba has proven a hit since his return to Stamford Bridge this summer despite doubts surrounding his fitness.

The veteran striker, who has won three Premier League titles, four FA Cups and the Champions League with the Blues, has scored three goals in his last six appearances in all competitions.
