Video: Chelsea’s Eden Hazard calls Shrewsbury ‘strawberry’
Shrewsbury not strawberry, Eden...
Eden Hazard has had a hard time remembering who Chelsea’s League Cup opponents were in midweek.
The Belgian playmaker was a second-half substitute in the Blues’ 2-1 win over Shrewsbury in the fourth round of the competition on Tuesday.
However, the PFA young player of the year struggled to recall the name of their opponents as he mistakenly called them “strawberry” in a post-match interview on Saturday.
The 23-year-old was promptly corrected by the reporter and quickly accepted his mistake.
Hazard was speaking after netting Chelsea’s winner from the penalty spot to seal a 2-1 victory over Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.
He has scored five goals and made two assists for Jose Mourinho’s men this season.
