Liverpool didn’t have much to clap about at the Bernabeu on Tuesday night, and surprisingly, Paul Scholes got the loudest cheer from Reds fans.

The travelling support was forced to wait in Real Madrid’s stadium following the final whistle after los Blancos were 1-0 winners in the Group B clash.

And Liverpool supporters decided to entertain themselves by goading Manchester United legend Scholes, who was doing commentary for ITV Sport.

But the former England midfielder had no problem taking the banter from United’s rival fans, giving the Merseysiders a quick wave much to their delight.

On the other hand, ITV Sport host Adrian Chiles failed to acknowledge the Liverpool fans when he was subjected to a bit of banter.

Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema scored a first-half winner to leave Liverpool in third place and three points behind Basel in Group B.

Would Roy Keane wave to Liverpool fans?
