Andre Schurrle says he is happy to help Chelsea reach the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup.

The Blues stormed into a 2-0 lead against Derby County courtesy of goals from Belgian forward Eden Hazard and Chelsea full-back Filipe Luis.

The Championship side responded through Craig Bryson before Jake Buxton was sent off and Schurrle sealed the west London side’s passage to last four.

And the Germany international took to Twitter on Wednesday morning to revel in their straightforward victory over Steve McClaren’s side.

Meanwhile, Cesc Fabregas afforded himself a wry smile after the Chelsea midfielder and Cesar Azpilicueta were drafted in to help carry stricken Kurt Zouma off the Pride Park pitch.
