Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger is facing big questions, says Spurs legend
Garth Crooks questions Arsene Wenger's team selection
Arsene Wenger will have to answer some big questions in the coming days, according to Garth Crooks.
The Gunners suffered their fourth defeat of the season at The Britannia as Stoke City stormed into a 3-0 half-time lead before Santi Cazorla and Aaron Ramsey offered late hope.
And former Tottenham Hotspur striker Crooks was critical of Arsenal’s error-ridden performance, questioning why Laurent Koscielny and Danny Welbeck didn’t start the game.
“It is a game that from start to finish has been a comedy of errors for Arsenal,” Crooks told BBC Sport.
“Young Calum Chambers has had a very difficult time, even in his favoured centre back position. Laurent Koscielny is on the bench, people will ask why.
“Danny Welbeck also started on the bench. There are some big questions for Arsene Wenger to answer over the coming days.”
Arsenal stay in sixth place but fourth-placed Manchester United can increase their lead to five points over their bitter rivals.
