Pat Nevin believes Chelsea have a number of weaknesses which could scupper their title bid.

The Blues are six points clear of second-placed Manchester City ahead of their clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.

And former Chelsea winger Nevin is adamant Jose Mourinho’s side don’t have the title wrapped up despite their impressive lead over the defending champions.

“The amount of people who have tried to talk me into saying it is over now, they will be undefeated this season,” Nevin told Newstalk. “I’m saying, ‘No!’”.

“There are a number of weaknesses in that side and the biggest one is their depth and limitations of squad, particularly at the back.

“Couple of injuries there and Chelsea have big problems.

“They need to add to that in the January transfer window.”

Nevin added that Chelsea have look tired in recent weeks with a lot of travelling in the Champions League.

“It’ll be very interesting on Wednesday night. It will be a phenomenally interesting game just to look at the team sheets, particularly the Chelsea one.”
