Sam Allardyce believes Chelsea will win the Premier League title this season.

The Blues are six points clear of defending champions Manchester City ahead of their clash against Newcastle United on Saturday.

And Hammers manager Allardyce can’t see Jose Mourinho’s side squandering their advantage unless the Blues suffer an injury crisis.

“Even though Manchester City are firing on all cylinders again I still think the distance Chelsea have put between them, and the fact that they’ve got a manager who knows how, [means] I think it will be their title this year,” Allardyce said.

“The only way I can see them slipping up in a game or two is if they get some injuries.

“They haven’t incurred many injuries in the squad at the moment but I think if they got some injuries to key players that may dent their progress a little bit, but I can’t really see anyone catching them.”

Allardyce’s West Ham side are fifth in the Premier League table.
