Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville has formed a brilliant TV partnership since the Liverpool legend joined his former rival on Sky Sports.

But the pair’s blossoming friendship will be tested when Liverpool make the short journey to Neville’s old club, Manchester United, on Sunday.

And ex-Reds centre-half Carragher appears to be worried about the Old Trafford clash if his Twitter posts on Tuesday afternoon are anything to go by.

The former England international asked his Liverpool followers whether they’d prefer to beat Basel on Tuesday night or bitter rivals United this weekend.

However, Neville showcased his Manchester sense of humour as he produced a witty reply to Carragher’s tentative tweet.

However, unsurprisingly, Carragher managed to have the final word in the friendly debate.
