Hugo Lloris admitted that Tottenham Hotspur paid the price for being “slow” with the ball after Saturday’s goalless draw with Crystal Palace.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men were held at White Hart Lane as Palace frustrated Mauricio Pochettino’s men in north London.

And Spurs goalkeeper Lloris felt that the Lilywhites failed to click into gear during the London derby.

“It was a tough game and we expected that,” Lloris told Spurs’ website.

“Crystal Palace were strong but we couldn’t find a solution, we didn’t create space and we were a bit slow with the ball.

“We felt that the game could turn quickly but in the end it’s a draw and we have to keep believing and keep working.”
