Ian Wright believes someone at Arsenal deserves the sack after the Gunners turned down the chance to bring Cesc Fabregas back to The Emirates.

The north London side had first option on the Spain international in the summer, but the FA Cup holders rejected the chance to re-sign their former captain.

Fabregas, 27, completed a £27m move to Premier League leaders Chelsea from Barcelona, and the midfielder has scored three goals and made 15 assists in 21 appearances in all competitions.

And former Arsenal striker Wright is still fuming that the Gunners didn’t seize the chance to land Fabregas, allowing the World Cup winner to join their rivals.

Fabregas won the FA Cup in 2005 before moving to Barcelona in a £35m deal in 2011, ending his eight-year stay at the 13-time English champions.
