Phil Neville says Manchester City’s Joe Hart is still a better goalkeeper than Manchester United number one David De Gea.

The Red Devils shot stopper has been one of the Premier League’s outstanding performers this season, scooping the club’s player of the month awards for October and November.

De Gea, who moved to United from Atletico Madrid in an £18m deal in 2011, has been linked with a move to Champions League holders Real Madrid in recent months.

England international Hart, meanwhile, is reported to be on the brink of signing a new City deal after quashing any doubts about his future under Manuel Pellegrini.

And former United full-back Neville still ranks Hart ahead of Red Devils goalkeeper De Gea despite the Spain international’s impressive form.
