Jose Mourinho has rejected suggestions that Chelsea could win all four trophies this season.

The Blues booked their place in the semi-finals of the League Cup on Tuesday night thanks to a 3-1 win over Derby County to keep themselves in with a chance of an unprecedented quadruple.

But the Chelsea boss, whose side have only lost one game so far this season, has told his players not to buy into any media hype surrounding a possible clean sweep.

“You spoke a few weeks about being unbeatable in the Premier League. We never did it,” said Mourinho.

“Now you speak about a quadruple but we must keep our feet on the ground.”

Chelsea travel to Stoke City in the Premier League for their next game on Monday night – and Mourinho called for focus from his players.

“It’s important to win on Monday,” he said. “We go match by match. We don’t choose competitions or matches.

“The next match is the most important thing. We go like this. This mentality is part of the group’s DNA.

“I don’t need to press the players to be ready. I am so happy with them. We have our feet on the ground.”
