‘Liverpool should stick with Brendan Rodgers for next four years’
Stan Collymore believes Brendan Rodgers is victim of his own success
Liverpool should stick with Brendan Rodgers for the next four seasons, Stan Collymore has claimed.
The Northern Irishman is coming under increasing pressure after the Reds crashed out of the Champions League at the group stage on Tuesday night.
Stick with the manager and he can turn the situation around, I am sure of it

But former Liverpool striker Collymore rubbished talk of the 18-time English champions appointing Chelsea and Spurs flop Andre Villas-Boas as his replacement.
“Forget any talk of Brendan Rodgers getting the axe, Liverpool should stick with their manager for the next four years,” Collymore wrote in the Sunday People.
“There has been plenty of criticism aimed at the Kop boss following their disappointing results this season and now many seem to think he deserves the chop.
“There have even been rumours this week that Andre Villas-Boas is being considered as a replacement – but this is all absolute nonsense.
“Rodgers is the victim of his own success after going so close to glory last season. Just because the team has not kicked on does not mean this should be the end of the road.
“Stick with the manager and he can turn the situation around, I am sure of it.
“Liverpool were the most entertaining team in the country at the start of this calendar year and that was largely due to the philosophy of their boss.
“The side were playing with style and flair that had not been witnessed by the Kop for years. They were scoring goals for fun.”
