Liverpool transfers: Ezequiel Lavezzi won’t leave PSG, says agent
Ezequiel Lavezzi will stay at PSG, says Marco Verratti's agent
Ezequiel Lavezzi won’t leave Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window, says Marco Verratti’s agent.
The Argentina international has been linked with Serie A duo Inter Milan and Napoli in recent week, whilst Liverpool have been touted as an interested party.
Lavezzi, who completed a €26.5m (£21m) move to PSG from Napoli in 2012, has scored two goals and made two assists in 11 Ligue 1 appearances this season.
However, Veratti’s agent Donato Di Campli doesn’t believe Inter or Napoli can afford to sign the highly-rated 29-year-old.
“Lavezzi to Inter? I don’t think he’ll leave Paris,” Di Campli is quoted as saying Tuttomercatoweb.
“And anyway, Lavezzi earns so much, no-one in Italy could match his demands. So it’s either PSG or a foreign club [outside of Italy].”
Lavezzi scored 48 goals in 188 appearances during a five-year spell at Napoli.
Meanwhile, Di Campli added that Italy international Verratti won’t be leaving PSG in the bear future.
“Verratti is fine. Nothing will happen [with transfers],” Di Campli said.
