Loic Remy not worried by Chelsea’s potential last-16 opponents
Loic Remy doesn't care about Chelsea's potential opponents in last 16 of Champions League
Loic Remy says he isn’t concerned about Chelsea’s potential opponents in the Champions League last 16.
The France international couldn’t get on the score sheet on Wednesday night after the striker came on as a second-half substitute in a 3-1 victory over Sporting Lisbon.
Chelsea, who finished as Group G winners, could face Juventus, Paris St-Germain, Basel, Bayer Leverkusen or Shakhtar Donetsk in the next round.
“At this stage of the competition, there are no easy games. It does not matter who we play. But now our focus is on the Premier League, then we can think about the team we playing [in the next round],” Remy is quoted as saying.
Remy added: “Even though we had already qualified, we wanted to win the game. The job is done and we are pleased. After last week [losing at Newcastle], we wanted to win.”
Remy has scored three goals in 10 appearances in all competitions.
