Louis van Gaal insists that Manchester United are under no pressure to sign any players in January.

The Red Devils have been linked with a host of names in recent weeks as the mid-season transfer window approaches.

United are thought to be out to bolster their defensive options after injuries have left Van Gaal’s side short at the back.

However, the Dutchman says that the Red Devils do not need to venture into the transfer market next month.

“When you have injuries you cannot solve the problem otherwise,” said Van Gaal.

“Do we have to buy players? No. We have more than enough.”

United, third in the table, host Liverpool at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday.
