Mourinho delivers latest Chelsea injury update ahead of Hull clash
Thibaut Courtois is out of Chelsea's clash with Hull City on Saturday due to a minor muscle injury
Chelsea will be without first-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois for Saturday’s clash with Hull City on Saturday due to injury, Jose Mourinho has revealed.
The Blues boss said that the Belgian suffered a minor muscular problem in training this week and will miss the game against the Tigers at Stamford Bridge.
“Courtois had a problem in training, a muscular problem, and he’s not available for tomorrow. It’s a minor problem,” Mourinho said.
“[It is] a chance for Petr [Cech] and a chance for Mark [Schwarzer] to be on the bench, so I’m more than comfortable with it.”
Chelsea will also be without midfielder Cesc Fabregas due to suspension.
“He doesn’t play,” Mourinho said of Fabregas. “He obviously has been amazing for us and is playing fantastically well but he’s suspended for tomorrow so we don’t think about him.
“We trust the other people that will have a chance to play.”
