Cesc Fabregas has paid tribute to Thierry Henry after the Arsenal legend announced his retirement from football on Tuesday.

The 37-year-old has decided to hang up his playing boots after leaving MLS side New York Red Bulls earlier this month.

And Chelsea midfielder Fabregas, who played alongside Henry during his spell at Arsenal, took to Instagram to post a tribute to the former France international.

Fabregas posted the picture above on his Instagram account and wrote: “Sad to see the end to the career of one of the best players i have ever played with.

“Good luck for the future my friend. #Thierry #Henry #Legend”
