Willian says he is ready for Chelsea’s “challenge” against Newcastle United on Saturday.

The Blues can temporarily extend their lead at the top of the Premier League to nine points with victory over the Magpies at St James’s Park.

However, Jose Mourinho has failed to register a Premier League win in four attempts at Newcastle, drawing twice and losing two top-flight games.

And Brazil international Willian is ready for the challenge of securing his manager’s first victory at Newcastle’s home stadium in the early kick-off.

Willian wrote on Instagram: “Another Premier League Challenge today! Come on Chelsea! Newcastle x Chelsea – 06.12.14 #CFC #W22 #PremierLeague #ComeonChelsea”

Chelsea’s title rivals and defending champions Manchester City face Everton at The Etihad later on Saturday afternoon.
