Daniel Sturridge has taken to Instagram to show that he is on the road to recovery as the Liverpool striker trained in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The England international has been out of action since the start of September due to calf and thigh problems and has travelled to the US to continue his rehabilitation.

The 25-year-old, who has not featured for Liverpool since August, looked in good shape as he trained on the beach on Saturday.

Sturridge posted the picture above on his Instagram account after Liverpool’s goalless draw with Sunderland on Saturday.

And he wrote: “Shame about the result today with the lads. I watched from here. Just finished training on the beach with Ruben. Working hard to get better each day.”

The forward, who moved to Liverpool from Chelsea in a £12m deal in 2013, scored 21 goals in 29 Premier League appearances last season.

He first suffered a thigh injury while on International duty with England back in September.
