Lukas Podolski has promised Arsenal supporters three points ahead of their clash against Galatasaray in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The Gunners booked their place in the last 16 of the competition courtesy of their 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund earlier this month.

But the north London side owe their fans a good performance after Arsene Wenger’s men were humiliating beaten 3-2 by Stoke City on Saturday.

And the Germany international took to Instagram to promise that Arsenal will return from Istabul with maximum points.

Podolski wrote on Instagram: “Last Champions league group game tonight, were planning on bringing the 3 points back to north London… #ChampionsLeague #AFC #Poldi #GALvAFC #Istanbul #Turkey”

Arsenal travel to Istanbul needing a win to have a chance of overtaking section leaders Borussia Dortmund.

In the reverse fixture on 1 October, a Danny Welbeck hat-trick helped Wenger celebrate his 18th anniversary as Arsenal manager with a 4-1 victory.
