Maroaune Fellaini has issued a late rallying cry ahead of Manchester United’s “big game” against Southampton at St Mary’s.

The Red Devils can hoist themselves above the Saints and into third place if Louis van Gaal’s side notch their fifth successive Premier League victory.

And Belgium international Fellaini took to Twitter ahead of United’s tricky clash against Ronald Koeman’s high-flying Saints side.

Earlier on Monday, United midfielder Juan Mata urged fourth-placed United to continue their winning run against the Saints.

“Our position in the Premiership table is now better after defeating Stoke in Old Trafford last Tuesday,” Mata wrote in his blog, One Hour Behind.

“It was our fourth victory in a row and we can climb to the third spot if we manage to win again.

“That would be good news ahead of Christmas, although we want to get better and better throughout the whole month.”
