Arsene Wenger says he will leave it late before deciding whether to include Theo Walcott in the Arsenal squad for Sunday’s trip to Liverpool.

The England international has not featured since early November after picking up a groin strain while on international duty.

Walcott returned to training on Thursday and Wenger also revealed that defender Nacho Monreal could be available for the trip to Anfield.

“There’s a slight chance of Monreal being available and a very slight chance for Walcott,” Wenger told Arsenal’s website.

“He [Walcott] is back in training today [Thursday]. But only today. I might take him, I don’t know yet until he’s back to full training. Let’s see.”

Asked about Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s fitness, Wenger replied: “We hope that Oxlade-Chamberlain will be fit. That’s what we’ll see on Saturday after a test. He’s not in training at the moment.

Wenger was also asked about David Ospina and Tomas Rosicky: “Ospina is back in full training and Rosicky should be back next week.”
