Arsenal transfers: Destro to make Milan decision, says Galliani
Adriano Galliani gives latest update on Milan's move for Arsenal target
Mattia Destro is set to make a decision on a proposed move to AC Milan on Thursday, according to the Serie A club’s chief executive.
The Italy international is edging closer to a move to seven-time European champions Milan on a six-month loan deal from Serie A rivals Roma.
Destro had been previously linked with a move to the Premier League amid reported interest from north London duo Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani says the 23-year-old forward will decide whether to complete a move to the San Siro outfit tomorrow.
“The lad knows everything, now he must decide,” Galliani is quoted as saying by Football Italia.
“He will give us his answer tomorrow morning. I am neither optimistic nor pessimistic.
“It’s something that took him a little bit by surprise. He’ll think it over for a night, and that’s only fair.”
Destro has started just eight Serie A games this season, although the Roma forward has made a further eight appearances from the bench.
Despite limited first-team action, the Arsenal target has still managed a credible five top-flight goals for the Rome outfit.
Milan are believed to be keen to sign a striker after Italy international Stephan El Shaarawy broke his foot this week.
