Arsenal transfers: Sergio Ramos hints at Premier League move
Sergio Ramos drops a hint that he would be interested in Premier League move
Sergio Ramos has put Arsenal and Manchester United on alert after the Real Madrid defender appeared to hint at a move to the Premier League.
The Spain international has been a mainstay of los Blancos’ defence since the 28-year-old move to the Bernabeu from Sevilla in 2005.
However, the versatile defender was left frustrated by Madrid’s 2-0 defeat by Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Copa del Rey tie.
And the World Cup winner conceded that he has a growing appreciation for the style of play and refereeing in the Premier League.
“The only thing I will say is that with every passing day I prefer the English Premier League,” Ramos told AS.
“What am I talking about? Obviously not the ball-boys…the style of play, the refereeing.”
“People enjoy watching that competition. When you lose it’s easy to focus on the refereeing decisions.”
Liverpool and Manchester United have been linked with a host of defenders in recent weeks, whilst Arsenal and Chelsea would be other touted destinations for Ramos.
