Chelsea 2 Bradford City 4: Jose Mourinho reflects on ‘beautiful’ defeat
Jose Mourinho describes Chelsea's FA Cup defeat by Bradford City as a 'beautiful' upset
Jose Mourinho was left to reflect on a “beautiful” FA Cup upset after his Chelsea side were stunned by League One outfit Bradford City.
The Blues went 2-0 up inside 38 minutes at Stamford Bridge thanks to goals from Gary Cahill and Ramires.
However, the visitors fought back through Jon Stead’s goal before half-time.
Frustration is not the right word, embarrassed would be more appropriate

City then added three more in the second half thanks to goals from Felipe Morais, Andy Halliday and Mark Yeates as they secured a stunning fourth-round win against the Premier League leaders.
Mourinho described the upset as “beautiful” for Bradford, before admitting that his side had been “embarrassed” on home soil.
“What happened is football and football is beautiful,” Mourinho told BBC Sport after the game.
“I think this is the beauty of football where a much better team can lose, which is difficult to happen in another sport and more possible to happen here in this country and this sport.
“The small team mentality is special. My respect goes to that and to them, they did a fantastic history for them and their club.
“I repeat a word I used before this match – It’s a disgrace for a big team to lose to a small team from a lower team.
“We must feel ashamed, me and the players must feel ashamed. Frustration is not the right word, embarrassed would be more appropriate.”
Chelsea, who are five points clear at the top of the Premier League table, next face a home clash with Liverpool in the second leg of their League Cup semi-final tie.
