Danilo Pantic insists he is still a Partizan Belgrade player
Danilo Pantic has denied that he has already signed a deal to join Chelsea.
The 18-year-old was speculated to have agreed a move to the Premier League leaders from Serbian outfit Partizan Belgrade earlier this week.
According to reports in the British media, Pantic had penned a Chelsea deal and was touted to join Vitesse Arnhem on loan until the of the season.
However, the Serbia Under-19 international has moved to clarify his situation, underlining that he has signed no Chelsea documentation.
Speaking to the Serbian club’s website, Pantic said: “I have been the talk of the town lately, but I know I didn’t sign anything with Chelsea.
“They showed interest, but no concrete deal was signed. I am still a Partizan player and I still have five more months left on my contract.”
Pantic is reported to command a £1.25m price tag, with Premier League outfit Chelsea facing competition from Serie A champions Juventus for the Serbian.
The Partizan teenager completed 90 minutes against Chelsea’s London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League earlier this season.
The Blues target, who turned 18 in October, has scored two goals in nine appearances in all competitions this season.
