Eden Hazard: What is most important to me at Chelsea
Eden Hazard says that winning must come before anything else for him at Chelsea
Eden Hazard insists that winning games is more important than anything else for him at Chelsea.
The Belgian playmaker has been one of the Blues’ top performers this season to help Jose Mourinho’s men lead the way at the top of the Premier League table.
Hazard has scored eight goals and made four assists in 22 Premier League games for the west London club so far this term.
The 24-year-old attacker has also netted twice and set up two in the Champions League for the west London side.
But when asked what makes him most satisfied at the end of 90 minutes, Hazard told Chelsea magazine: “To win, of course.
“Even if I score three goals and we lose the game, it’s no good for me.
“I want more than that, though. Every game I try to enjoy myself, to take pleasure from the game, to give pleasure to the fans and, of course, for us to win the game.
“I started the season very well, I have been able to score and make assists for the team.
“My job is to win the game and I get a lot of freedom on the pitch. I am free to play and I do what I have to do.”
Chelsea take on Bradford in the fourth round of the FA Cup at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
They then host Liverpool in the return leg of their League Cup semi-final tie before a home clash with defending champions Manchester City on 31 January in the Premier League.
