Liverpool transfers: Tottenham dealt Yevhan Konoplyanka blow
Yevhan Konoplyanka is close to a move to Roma, according to Dnipro
Liverpool and Tottenham target Yevhan Konoplyanka is close to a move to Roma, according to Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.
The Ukraine international has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League over the past 12 months.
Liverpool were close to signing the talented winger last January, however, a deal fell through before deadline day.
And Dnipro’s chief general confirmed Serie A side Roma are in talks with the Ukrainian club over a possible deal for the forward.
“Dnipro and Roma are in talks about Konoplyanka,” Dnipro’s chief said on the club’s website.
“The clubs have almost reached an agreement and Yehven is considering the possibility of changing club.”
Konoplyanka, who wears number 10, has scored four goals and has made two assists in 14 appearances in the Ukrainian Premier League so far this season.
The Dnipro star is yet to find the net in the Europa League, though, despite featuring in all his club’s group games.
The 25-year-old has netted eight goals in 40 appearances for his country, including a long-range strike against England during a 2014 World Cup qualifying match at Wembley.
