Man United transfers: David De Gea’s agent fails to rule out Madrid move
David De Gea's agent says the Manchester United goalkeeper's situation could change
David De Gea’s agent has hinted that the Real Madrid target could leave Manchester United before the end of his contract.
The Red Devils shot stopper has been heavily linked with a move to Los Blancos in recent months after his series of man-of-the-match performances for United.
United signed experienced Barcelona shot stopper Victor Valdes on an 18-month contract earlier in January, fueling reports of a possible De Gea exit.
Spain and Madrid captain Iker Casillas has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot at The Bernabeu over the past two-and-a-half seasons.
And the United goalkeeper’s agent Jorge Mendes appeared to drop a big hint that the 24-year-old could leave the Red Devils in the near future.
“David is amazing, he’s brilliant,” De Gea’s agent told Marca.
“He’s a Man United player and has a contract there. You have to respect that but things change every five minutes.”
De Gea, whose current United deal runs until the end of 2016, has made 114 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils since his move to Old Trafford.
The Spain international completed a move to the 20-time English champions from Atletico Madrid in 2011, winning the Premier League title in 2013.
