Jack Wilshere poses for a selfie with his young son and daughter

Jack Wilshere looked in good spirits when he posed for a selfie with his children as he continues his rehabilitation from ankle surgery.

Wilshere shared the picture above of him with his young son and daughter on his Instagram account late on Wednesday night and wrote: “The two purest hearts #blessed”

The England international midfielder warmed up with Arsene Wenger’s first-team in training last week as he looks to regain his fitness.

Wilshere went under the knife in December after suffering an ankle injury during the defeat by Manchester United at Emirates Stadium back in November.

The 23-year-old midfielder was ruled out for around three months and Wenger recently confirmed that he could make his comeback in late February or early March.

Before his injury setback, Wilshere had scored one goal and made one assist in nine Premier League games for the north London club.

Arsenal travel to Brighton and Hove Albion in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon.
