Chelsea transfers: Juan Cuadrado posts Instagram message
Juan Cuadrado pays tribute to Fiorentina ahead of Chelsea move
Juan Cuadrado has paid tribute to Fiorentina ahead of his move to Chelsea.
The 26-year-old forward is expected to seal a £23.3m move to the west London side over the weekend after he agreed personal terms and reportedly travelled to the English capital for a medical on Friday.
Cuadrado has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League leaders over the past, and Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Montella confirmed that the Colombia international was close to a move yesterday.
And Chelsea’s soon-to-be new signing posted a touching Instagram message dedicated to Fiorentina, paying tribute to the Serie A outfit for the role the club has played in his career.
“Florence will remain forever in my heart. Extraordinary people. Fans full of passion,” Cuadrado wrote.
“La Viola were the team that launched me and gave me the opportunity to grow thanks to a great company and great companions.
“Now I expect a new road. New emotions. New objectives.
“But always with Florence in the heart! Thank you all! Juan”
The Fiorentina forward rose to prominence after his impressive performances for Colombia en route to the quarter-finals during the summer’s World Cup in Brazil.
The former Udinese star has scored 20 goals in 85 Serie A appearances for the Florence outfit following his move in 2012.
