Jordan Henderson issues a Liverpool rallying cry ahead of Chelsea tie
Jordan Henderson is ready for Liverpool’s Capital One Cup semi-final second-leg clash against Chelsea judging by the midfielder’s latest Instagram post.
The Reds forward Raheem Sterling, who has been linked with the Blues in recent weeks, cancelled out Eden Hazard’s first-half penalty to leave the tie finely balanced at 1-1 last week.
Chelsea suffered a surprise 4-2 defeat by League One side Bradford City in the FA Cup, whilst Liverpool drew 0-0 with Bolton Wanderers in their fourth-round clash on Saturday.
Henderson posted a photo of the Liverpool team celebrating Sterling’s equaliser last Tuesday, accompanied by a simple captaion.
“Big game tonight! Y.N.W.A,” Henderson wrote on the social media website.
The England international was named as Brendan Rodgers’ new vice-captain at the start of the season following Daniel Agger’s return to Brondby.
The 24-year-old midfielder has scored three goals and has made six assists in 26 appearances in all competitions for the Merseyside outfit this season.
