Jose Enrique appears to be the best of buds with Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho.
The Reds centre-half is a doubt for the Merseyside club’s clash against West Ham United on Saturday after he suffered a back injury at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.
Uncapped Spanish defender Enrique didn’t feature against the Blues as Jose Mourinho’s side edged to a 1-0 win after extra-time in the second leg of their League Cup semi-final.
However, the Liverpool pair were all smiles in the photo that 29-year-old full-back Enrique uploaded to social media site Instagram on Thursday afternoon.
Enrique kept his caption short and sweet: “My friend @mamadousakho3”
The former Paris Saint-Germain defender was sidelined for the best part of three months after the powerful centre-half picked up a thigh injury in late September.
Sakho has scored one goal in 29 appearances in all competitions following his £20m move to Liverpool from the Ligue 1 champions in 2013.
