Mamadou Sakho reflects on Liverpool's 'intense' 1-1 draw with Chelsea in Capital One Cup
Mamadou Sakho has his sights firmly set on reaching his first Capital One Cup final after Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea in the first leg of their last-four clash.
The France international performed impressively alongside Emre Can and Martin Skrtel as Raheem Sterling cancelled out Eden Hazard’s first-half penalty.
And centre-half Sakho is eagerly anticipating the return leg at Stamford Bridge as the Reds look to win their first game at Chelsea since a League Cup triumph in 2011.

The former Paris Saint-Germain defender has enjoyed a run in the first-team in recent weeks, starting Liverpool’s last eight games in all competitions.
The 24-year-old was sidelined for the best part of three months after the powerful defender picked up a thigh injury in September.
Sakho has scored one goal in 29 appearances in all competitions following his £20m move to Liverpool from his boyhood club PSG in 2013.
