David De Gea has helped to keep Bojan Krkic’s spirits high after the Stoke City striker suffered a season-ending knee injury last weekend.

The Manchester United goalkeeper chilled out with the crocked Potters forward and Stoke defender Marc Muniesa on Thursday night.

The trio were former team-mates in the Spain Under-21 international side, and clearly they’ve maintained their friendship.

And former Barcelona defender Muniesa posted a photo with De Gea and Bojan to his Twitter page, with the three Spaniards in good spirits.

The Spaniard was hurt chasing down the ball during Stoke’s 4-1 victory at Rochdale on Monday and is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

A scan confirmed that Krkic had suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury, ruling out out of the remainder of the campaign.

The ex-Barcelona man joined the Potters on a four-year deal in July 2014 and has scored five goals this season.
