Michael Carrick looks to be getting his excuses ready for tardiness
Michael Carrick appeared to be getting his excuses ready for Louis van Gaal after the Manchester United midfielder took to Instagram to complain about the traffic.
The 33-year-old Red Devils midfielder was forced to contend with busy roads in northern England after a heavy snowfall during Wednesday night.
Carrick, who was unable to help United beat Cambridge in the FA Cup fourth round last Friday, posted a photo of his sat nav to highlight the congestion.
Carrick posted the above photo and wrote: “Not much on the roads today then??”
Other United players appeared to be rather more accepting of the snowy conditions as Argentina international Marcos Rojo built a snowman with his wife and daughter.
Red Devils full-back Luke Shaw used the snowfall as an opportunity to show of his fashion taste, sporting some slick Addidas trainers.
Shaw wrote: “White on white from @adidasuk #superstar”
Van Gaal’s side face Leicester City at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Red Devils will be looking to exact revenge after a 5-3 loss at King Power Stadium earlier this season.
