With the Six Nations fast approaching, ticket marketplace viagogo has reported a 129 per cent increase in demand for tickets in the build-up to the kick-off.

Tickets for the 2015 Six Nations are available now from £28

The ticketing firm has noticed particular excitement surrounding Scottish Rugby, with Scotland v Wales and Scotland v Italy showing a combined 83 per cent surge in ticket searches in recent weeks.

With Duncan Weir ruled out of this year’s Six Nations due to injury, and Jonny Gray and Finn Russell tipped to be Scotland’s dark horses, it appears that rugby fans are desperate not to miss out on the action.

“It seems rugby fever has well and truly arrived in the run-up to the Rugby World Cup later this year,” said a viagogo spokesperson.

“With tickets for Scottish Rugby starting at £28, it’s no surprise that rugby fans are snapping up tickets fast.”

The Rugby World Cup takes place from 18 September to 31 October in England and Wales, with tickets also on sale now at viagogo.
