Watch Man United’s Robin van Persie take on his son in kickabout

The Manchester United striker and his son are part of a new promotional campaign for BT Sport

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie and his son Shaqueel are the stars of a new promotional campaign.

The three-part series was filmed in Manchester, where we see Van Persie teach Shaqueel some of his trademark tricks, take on a football free-styler in a trick off and then play a game of 2-on-2.

The films are set to be released this weekend across the BT Sport network as part of a promotional campaign for the British broadcaster.

Manchester United striker Van Persie has been in good form for the Red Devils under new manager Louis van Gaal this season.

The 31-year-old has netted eight goals and made two assists in 20 top-flight games for the Premier League side.

Van Persie’s son Shaqueel was reported to be wanted by both Manchester United and Manchester City last year. He has spent time training with both of the Premier League clubs in recent years.

Robin van Persie was appearing in his role as a BT Sport ambassador.
