Ander Herrera confident Man United will beat Arsenal
The Spanish midfielder is backing United to reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup at the expense of the Gunners
Ander Herrera has underlined his confidence that Manchester United have what it takes to beat Arsenal to reach the FA Cup semi-finals.
The Spaniard helped Louis van Gaal’s men book their place in the last eight of the competition with a 3-1 win at Preston North End on Monday night.
The Red Devils will now take on the Gunners at Old Trafford looking to secure their place in the last four at Wembley.
But despite United having been drawn against one of their Premier League rivals, Herrera is sure that Van Gaal’s side will be able to beat Arsene Wenger’s men.
Speaking to Manchester United’s website, Herrera said: “We have to keep playing in this competition [and it will be] against Arsenal who are one of the best teams at the moment.
“But we are Manchester United and have a very good spirit and we showed it today. We have very good players and very good staff and we are going to improve.”
Herrera, 25, has scored two goals and made three assists in 13 Premier League games for Manchester United so far this season.
He found the net along with Wayne Rooney and Marouane Fellaini as United came from a goal down to beat Preston at Deepdale on Monday.
