Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger praises Mesut Ozil’s attitude
The Arsenal manager praises Mesut Ozil's attitude after the German's impressive return from injury
Arsene Wenger has heaped praise on Mesut Ozil for the “extremely hard work” the Arsenal playmaker put in during his rehabilitation from injury.
The World Cup winner made an impressive return to action last month after three months on the sidelines with a knee problem.
The 26-year-old German has scored two goals and made one assist in three games since making his comeback in January.
And Wenger believes that Ozil is now reaping the benefits of having put in the hard work during his rehabilitation period.
“He’s worked hard,” Wenger told a news conference on Friday.
“He has a similar attitude to Jack [Wilshere] when he came back from injury. He worked extremely hard to be fit and he’s benefiting from it now.”

Wenger also insisted that he is not thinking about how much his side are likely to miss the injured Alexis Sanchez when they travel to White Hart Lane for Saturday’s north London derby clash against Tottenham on Saturday afternoon.
“I don’t think about the game like that,” he said. “We just want to play our game and perform. We have enough offensive power if all of us perform individually and collectively.”
The Gunners, who have won their last five games in all competitions, are currently fifth in the Premier League table, 11 points behind leaders Chelsea.
