Mesut Ozil takes to Twitter to thank his fans after reaching nine million followers on Twitter
Mesut Ozil took to Twitter on Wednesday afternoon to thank his fans after reaching nine million followers on the social network.
The Arsenal playmaker is often one of the first of his team-mates to tweet his reaction after games and has seen his following grow since joining Arsenal from Real Madrid in the summer of 2013.
And after surpassing the significant milestone on Wednesday, the Germany international tweeted: “Wow, 9 Mio. follower on Twitter! THANK YOU to every single one of you! #Teşekkürler #Danke #Gracias #TerimaKasih #Obrigado #Merci.”
Ozil, who now has over three million Twitter followers more than his club Arsenal, has been in fine form for the Gunners since returning from a knee injury at the turn of the year.
The 26-year-old World Cup winner has scored three goals and made two assists in his last five games for the north London club, helping Arsene Wenger’s men reach the FA Cup quarter-finals.
