Manchester United pair Daley Blind and David De Gea reflect on a hard-fought draw at Upton Park
Daley Blind has admitted he is gutted Manchester United were unable to beat West Ham despite the midfielder’s added-time equaliser at Upton Park.
The 24-year-old has scored two Premier League goals following his £16m summer move to Old Trafford from Ajax, but the Dutch star wasn’t satisfied with a point from the east London clash.

The Red Devils appeared to be heading for a first loss to the Hammers since 2007 after Cheikhou Kouyate broke the deadlock in the 55th minute after a close-range finish from a Hammers corner.
Louis van Gaal introduced Marouane Fellaini as United adopted a direct approach, and Blind pounced on a loose ball to fire past Adrian in the 92nd minute.
United goalkeeper David De Gea, who made five saves to limit the Hammers to one goal, praised the away side’s battling spirit after a credible point against their European-chasing rivals.
“Although things can get complicated @manchesterunited never gives up! A point in a difficult pitch! We’ll keep on fighting!” De Gea wrote.
Finally, United centre-half Marcos Rojo, who got his first taste of Upton Park following his £16m move from Sporting Lisbon in the summer, emphasised what a test the Red Devils experienced.
