Emre Can and Philippe Coutinho reflect on thrilling 2-1 win at Bolton
Philippe Coutinho was one of the first Liverpool players to hit Instagram after the Reds midfielder sealed a thrilling 2-1 comeback against Bolton Wanderers on Wednesday.
The Brazil international scored a 91st-minute winner just moments after Raheem Sterling had cancelled out Eidur Gudjohnsen’s second-half opener in the FA Cup fourth-round replay.
Coutinho, who signed a new long-term deal at the Merseyside outfit on Wednesday, was delighted to help Brendan Rodgers’ side set up a fifth-round clash against Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace.
“Well done boys..congratulations to the [email protected] for 700 appearances,” Coutinho wrote.
Liverpool’s makeshift centre-half Emre Can was the recipient of praise from some Reds legends following the win, and the German youngster took to the photo-sharing app to reflect on the cup tie.
Can posted: “What a come back!!! See u in the 5 round!!! #ynwa #liverpool”
Reds vice-captain Jordan Henderson, meanwhile, reserved particular praise for goal-scorers Coutinho and Sterling on the social media site.
However, Liverpool substitute Fabio Borini was already thinking about their next game as the Italy international turned his thoughts to the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park on Saturday.
“Great win tonight! Through to next round! looking forward the Derby at the weekend!” Borini added.
