Chelsea aren’t special and will make mistakes, declares Samir Nasri
Samir Nasri believes the Premier League title race will go down to the wire
Samir Nasri has turned up the heat in the Premier League title race by claiming Chelsea aren’t a special team.
The Blues are seven points clear of the defending champions after a last-gasp 1-0 victory over Everton as Manchester City were emphatic 4-1 winners against Stoke City on Wednesday night.
For me they are not special at all, and I think they are going to make some mistakes
Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea side have won 18 of their 25 Premier League games this season, and in addition, the west London side have only dropped two points at Stamford Bridge.
However, City midfielder Nasri believes there is nothing incredible after the Blues, adding that the title race will go down to the wire despite Chelsea’s current lead.
“I’m a big fan of Mourinho, but I am not impressed with his team, not at all. We have played them twice, one time with 10 men, and we were better than them,” Nasri told talkSPORT.
“Then we played them at the Bridge, we were better than them.
“When I have seen some of their games, I don’t think they are that fantastic – they are just strong and have a good striker up front.
“For me they are not special at all, and I think they are going to make some mistakes. We just have to perform, to win our games, and see what’s going to happen.
“This title will be like this until the end of the season. No-one will win the league 10 games before the end of the season.”

City drew 1-1 with Chelsea in the recent meeting between the title rivals at The Bridge after David Silva cancelled out Loic Remy’s first-half opener.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side were crowned English champions last season after Liverpool squandered their leading position with two games to go.
