Liverpool celebrated like they won the league, blasts Palace chairman
Palace chairman Steve Parish says the Eagles have come a long way after Liverpool's over exhuberant celebrations
Liverpool celebrated their FA Cup victory over Crystal Palace like they’d won the Premier League, according Eagles chairman Steve Parish.
The south-east London side appeared to be on the brink of qualification for the FA Cup fifth round after Fraizer Campbell broke the deadlock at Selhurst Park on Saturday evening.
However, Daniel Sturridge levelled the tie in the second half before Adam Lallana netted a 58th-minute winner to secure Liverpool’s place in Monday night’s FA Cup quarter-final draw.
But Parish was unimpressed with the Reds’ over jubilant celebrations after Liverpool beat the Eagles for the first time in three attempts.
When we took over we just avoided going to the third tier. Yesterday #LFC beat us. They are celebrating like they won the league #progress

Liverpool supporters have bad memories of Selhurst Park after Rodgers’ side let a three-goal lead slip last May to draw 3-3 and effectively end their title bid with one game remaining.
Eagles chairman Parish went back on Twitter to clarify his earlier tweet, speaking of his affection for Liverpool and adding that he would the Reds to win the FA Cup.
“@Millxr: Why is the chairman of Palace trying to leather us '
Pal I love #LFC great club just saying we have come a long way
