Man United transfers: No Real Madrid deal for David De Gea, says agent
David De Gea is yet to sign a new contract with Manchester United, says goalkeeper's agent
David De Gea hasn’t agreed a deal to join Real Madrid in the summer, the Manchester United goalkeeper’s agent has insisted.
The Red Devils shot stopper has been heavily linked with a switch to the Champions League holders over the past couple of months.
De Gea has been out of United’s outstanding performers under Louis van Gaal this season, helping the Red Devils secure the league’s second-best defensive record.
While the Spain international’s agent confirmed De Gea hasn’t signed a new United deal yet, Jorge Mendes rubbished talk of any agreement with Madrid.
“It’s not true that the deal is done,” Mendes told Spanish radio station Cadena Ser.
“I am negotiating his contract renewal but we haven’t signing anything yet. As of the moment, we will see what happens.
“We’re holding talks and at this moment it seems he could continue with United, but as I say, we haven’t signed anything yet.”

The 24-year-old United number one made five saves as De Gea played a big role in the Red Devils’ 1-1 draw with West Ham at Upton Park on Sunday.
De Gea, who moved to Old Trafford from Atletico Madrid in a £19m deal in 2011, has kept 10 clean sheets in all competitions this term.
