Radamel Falcao has played down reports linking him with a transfer away from Manchester United at the end of the season by insisting that he is happy at Old Trafford.

The Colombia international’s future has been a source of speculation in recent weeks following Falcao’s inconsistent form for the Red Devils.

The striker has previously indicated his desire to turn his loan from Monaco into a permanent deal at the end of the season.

However, the forward’s patchy form in recent weeks has prompted suggestions that the former Porto forward could be allowed to leave the Old Trafford club at the end of the season.

Now, the player himself has moved to distance himself from reports linking him with a move away from the Premier League side by declaring himself happy at the club.

Asked about the recent speculation linking him with a transfer to Real Madrid, Falcao told LAFM: “I’m in Manchester and I’m happy to be here.

“I’m fighting for my place and I’m eager to play more and more.”

Falcao has scored four goals for Manchester United so far this season.
