The Reds were dumped out of Europe’s second tier club competition after losing their first continental penalty shootout.
Tolgay Arslan’s 20-yard shot forced extra-time in the round of 32 second leg in Istanbul.
And summer signing Dejan Lovren missed the crucial spot-kick to send the Turkish side through to the last 16.
Sturridge took to his Instagram account to insist that the Merseyside club would learn from the defeat and thank the travelling fans for their support.
He posted the picture above on the photo-sharing app and wrote: “We’ll come back stronger. I have no doubts about that. Thanks to all the fans especially the ones that travelled to watch the game live. #redordead”
Liverpool’s next game is a home clash with defending Premier League champions Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds are currently in seventh place in the Premier League table as they look to finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League for the second season running.
