Thierry Henry admits that it would be a “dream” to one day become Arsenal manager.

The Gunners legend has begun working on his coaching badges alongside his role as a pundit on Sky Sports since hanging up his playing boots at the end of last year.

Henry, who is Arsenal’s all-time record goal-scorer, has been touted as a potential successor to Arsene Wenger at Emirates Stadium in years to come.

And the former France international says that he would love to take their reigns at the north London club in the future.

Speaking to ITV Sport, Henry said: “I don’t know what Arsene wants to do and how long he wants to stay.

“But I just want to be equipped – to be in the position, maybe one day to be a manager.

“Being the manager of Arsenal FC would be a dream. I need to learn first. That is the most important thing.

“I could not say ‘no’ to Arsenal. So I would say ‘yes’. It should be great.”

Henry, 37, retired from playing football last year after a spell at MLS side New York Red Bulls. He spent eight years with Arsenal and helped Wenger’s side win two Premier League titles and three FA Cups.

Arsenal are in action this weekend when they host Everton at Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Would Henry make a good Arsenal manager?
